In 2011 I have set myself a goal I want to give back to this amazing world by Volunteering.
And I have chosen to volunteer in Vietnam where I’ll have the opportunity to work with orphans, street children, and mentally/physically disabled children. Many of these children are parentless or have been abandoned as their parents cannot afford to provide for them. These kids need love, attention, education and life skills to ensure they have a future free from poverty.
Volunteers are needed to assist by caring for babies, teaching Basic English, arts ‘n’ crafts, music, sports, and healthcare.  Volunteers will also have a chance to assist with physiotherapy at the disabled orphanages.
I am so excited and cannot wait to begin my time in Vietnam; I will also be joined by a good friend of mine Mark Witt. Together working in Vietnam will be a life changing experience, we have self-funded most of this trip flights, visas, insurance, and the enrolment fee for the company we will be volunteering for.
However there is an extra cost that myself and Mark will need to fun Raise. This money goes towards the communities in Vietnam where we will be working. The Money raised goes towards supplies, food, clothing, nappies, books, schooling equipment for the children and community we will be volunteering our time in. Any extra goes towards the Charity that has founded this amazing organization so they can continue their work around the globe.
Any Small Donation helps hugely in these Children’s lives.  I thank everyone who has help make this happen from the bottom of my heart. You should be the change that you wish to see!
I’ll keep everyone up to date with photos and emails about our experience volunteering.
Thank-you
Therese Higgins
